Events & Announcement
In the heart of the Ashanti Region’s Sekyere Kumawu District lies Ntarentare, a village embraced by rolling hills and lush greenery. Yet, behind the serene façade, a pressing issue loomed large—the scarcity of clean water. For years, the community had grappled with erratic rainfall and unreliable water sources, leaving families to trek miles in search of potable water. A community with huts scatted over a large land area with an estimated population of 243 rely on a hand dug well which risk of contamination from runoffs and drowning for children who access the water. Also, Bonfunu and Asor are two (2) streams that the community trek miles to access but these streams risk drought due to the unpredictable climate conditions. Amidst this struggle, a glimmer of hope emerged - a vision to bring lasting change through a climate-resilient borehole. The idea blossomed from the collective desire for a reliable water source that could withstand the district’s climatic challenges. However, the realization of this vision rests upon a critical foundation: funding. The people of Ntarentare understand that their dream require the support and solidarity of kindred spirits beyond their village borders. Driven by a shared sense of purpose, the Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly is embarking on a remarkable journey - to crowdfund for the construction of this much-needed borehole and wishes to invite individuals, philanthropic organizations, local businesses and communities to contribute to this noble cause whether big or small, carries the weight of hope and promises a better future. All funds raised will go towards the said project. The campaign team has partnered with reputable contractors to ensure that the project is executed to the highest standards..
